Hunting the Hunter.

                   *****
A very exciting book, on all levels.
We have a vicious serial killer, tearing out  the throats of his victims. The kills look like they were done by an animal.
Colin is the lead detective on the case, and unknown to his fellow police, a Shifter.
When he sees the first victim he knows he is hunting a Shifter. The killer is leaving lots of trace for forensics. It seems as If he wants the world to know what’s out there.
Emily is human, but knows all about the “Others”because she has always been able to sense them. If she lowers her mental shields she can read their thoughts and emotions. She is known as the monster doctor, to the “Others “she helps.
Colin and Emily must work together to catch the killer while trying to keep even other police from finding about the “Others” in the world.
Emily has secrets of her own to keep. Colin doesn’t know much about “Others ” even his own kind.
He does however know that he will kill to protect Emily.
Hunting this killer is dangerous and frustrating.

This is different to most books concerning Shifters in that the hero knows less about his own kind than some of the people round him.  A very good book, by a talented author.
