Dangerous Journey.

            Through the Fire.
             By Beth Trissel.
This poor woman faces so much danger in a short space of time.
Rebecca is a young English widow traveling with her sister to find their uncle. He is living in a fort in the war torn west. They travel with a company of soldiers who are going to join the fort.
The different tribes of native American Indians have joined different sides in the war, some fight on the English side and some on the French.
The company is attacked. Rebecca is taken prisoner, her sister manages to get away. Most of the soldiers are killed.
Shoka is the warrior who claims Rebecca, he intends to sell her.
With danger coming from all sides, too many men want to capture or keep Rebecca.
She must fight through fire, storms and warring indians and soldiers.  With the dubious help of Shoka and a white wolf.

I enjoyed this book. I was exhausted for Rebecca. I did think it was a bit much that every man in the story wanted her for himself.

Have a Wonderful Read
