The Hathaway’s # 1

London 1848 . Amelia is out searching for brother Leo. He is set on destroying himself since his fiancee died. Amelia must look in the most undesirable places to find him before he ruins things for the whole family.
Cam Rohan is the manager of a gaming house and half Roma. .He drags the young man out of a brawl and sends him home with his sister.
Amelia takes the family off to Hampshire to claim Leo’s new inheritance,  a crumbling estate that she has to somehow restore. When near disaster strikes the neighbors and their friends rally round to help. Cam is one of those friends,  he is determined to help Amelia even while she is stubbornly refusing, and taking all the responsibility for the whole family.

This is a sweet romance, with mild love scenes. It introduces us to a lovely family with no arrogance against a people that others might think beneath them.
I will visit with them again.
